Gainsborough House

Gainsborough House is an impressive Grade II listed building located on one of the UK's most Instagrammed streets, Grey Street in Newcastle city centre.

Any visitor to Newcastle upon Tyne cannot fail to be impressed by stunning Grey Street. This majestic architectural beauty and jewel in the crown of the city was built in the 1830s by Richard Grainger.

Standing proudly on Grey Street is Adderstone Group’s Gainsborough House. Purchased in summer 2018, this Grade II listed building comprises 22,165 sq. ft of modern, contemporary office space and a further 4,279 sq. ft of space on the ground floor which is occupied by artisan, wood-fired pizza restaurant, Pizza Punks.

Since assuming ownership of the building, Adderstone Group has undertaken a number of refurbishments works and repairs to the internal structure of the building and has also enhanced its beautiful, original stone exterior with a gold leaf engraved traditional sign, using traditional local stonemasons to carry out the works.

Now Gainsborough House is home to a number of thriving national and international businesses including Pegasus Group, Manpower, Penspen and iconic North East based radio station, Metro Radio.
