The Fleming is a Grade II listed former hospital comprising 31,000 sq. ft of office and leisure space, set in impressive surroundings in Newcastle. It is Adderstone Group's HQ.

Built in 1887, the iconic Fleming Memorial Hospital, located in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, was a hospital providing care for sick children from across the North East of England. Funded by Newcastle solicitor, John Fleming, the hospital operated for exactly 101 years before its work eventually transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in 1988 and The Fleming was converted into a business centre.  

A new lease of life was breathed into this stunning, Grade II listed, 31,000 sq. ft building in 2019 when it was purchased by Adderstone Group who, as well as making it headquarters for its growing team, immediately began the painstaking process of restoring the building to its former glory.

Throughout the restoration process the original stone façade was cleaned and made good, original railings, fireplaces, cornice and stonework were repaired, original parquet flooring was uncovered and salvaged by hand and craftsmen repaired original oak panelling.

As well as being Adderstone Group’s HQ, The Fleming, which borders Newcastle’s famous Exhibition Park, is also home to a mix of successful commercial and leisure operators and, in its entirety, comprises six beautiful buildings including; Collingwood House, Nelson House, Anson House, Drake House, the Gatehouse and the Matron’s Lodge, set over a vast and impressive landscaped site with gated private entrance and onsite parking.
