Adderstone Group purchase prestigious Newcastle office block

Adderstone Group, has completed the purchase of Gainsborough House, located on Grey Street in Newcastle city centre.

Gainsborough House, one of the largest office blocks on Newcastle’s beautiful Grey Street, comprises over 25,700 sq. ft. of office and leisure space in a modern structure behind a listed Georgian façade. It is already home to a mix of commercial and leisure operators including recruitment company Manpower and technology business Condeco Software.

Artisan pizza company Pizza Punks will be bringing their wood fired pizzas to the ground floor when they open in September, taking up space previously occupied by French themed restaurant chain, Café Rouge. This will be Pizza Punks’ first restaurant in the city, expanding their portfolio of restaurants which currently operate in Glasgow and Belfast.

Adderstone Group CEO, Ian Baggett said: “Gainsborough House is one of the most prestigious office buildings in the city and has benefitted from significant investment in recent months.”

The building has recently undergone small remodelling works and features raised access floors, LED lights and parking on site. There are also cycle and shower facilities.

There is currently 2,950 sq. ft of office space under offer and two suites available to let immediately. The available spaces comprise 4,727 sq. ft and 1,950 sq. ft respectively, with parking.

The acquisition follows on from Adderstone Group’s recent purchases of The Rivergreen Centre, Atom Bank HQ in Durham and 7B at Cobalt Business Park.
