Adderstone Group acquired Cobalt 7B, now home to Leeds Building Society at Cobalt Park in 2018.

Cobalt 7B is situated on Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside, the largest office park in the UK. The property comprises over 20,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space and is home to Leeds Building Society. It is the building society’s largest base outside Yorkshire.

Constructed in 2008, Cobalt 7B provides contemporary, two-storey office space within the steel-framed building. The property is hailed for its energy efficiency and sustainability and has achieved a BREEAM’ Very good’ rating.

Cobalt Park is the UK’s largest office park comprising 250 acres and 2m sq. ft of commercial space. The wider estate is occupied by many blue-chip tenants, including Proctor & Gamble, Sage, Accenture, the NHS, IBM and North Tyneside Council.

The Park has recently benefitted from substantial infrastructure investment, including c.£75m of road improvements, the new triple-decker roundabout at the A19 and the recent installation of a 25-mile dark fibre network connecting Cobalt Park to Newcastle city centre and improving the Park’s connectivity.

Cobalt Park is incredibly well located for access by car and public transport. It is 5 minutes from the A1, 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre and 20 minutes from Newcastle International Airport. Five access points provide immediate, free flowing connections to the A19 and national motorways.

Cobalt’s no.19 shuttle offers a frequent service to the Metro, Tyne & Wear’s very own light rail system, which boasts 60 stations throughout the region. There’s usually a shuttle close by, enabling passengers to hop on and off at their convenience.

There are frequent express bus links direct to Newcastle and also fast and efficient access to the region’s major residential locations making the park popular with employees.
