Adderstone Living has grown significantly since its inception in 2020 and is now in need of someone to come in, embed themselves in the business and help strengthen the structures and processes needed to operate a multimillion pound turn over business.

Adderstone Living Is part of the Adderstone group, a private property development and investment business based in Newcastle upon Tyne and London. Over the past 25 years the team has committed to creating, delivering and managing exceptional places that improve and regenerate areas across the country, and the Living team focus on the deliver of affordable housing with partner organisations form the housing association world.

This new role will suit someone who is a confident self-starter with great organisational skills. This person must be flexible and work best in a varied and ever-changing environment. Ideally, they must be able to operate a range of IT systems and willing to learn new ones. It would be great if they were full of energy and bright ideas but equally happy to work with tried and tested methods too. Experience in a development and construction environment would be nice but attitude and aptitude are valued more.

To provide a comprehensive, customer focused and professional high-level support service to the Executive Team and broader business.

Key accountabilities and job content

Provide a proficient and comprehensive executive support, governance and administrative service.

  • Provide executive support for the leadership team; including:
  • Organise, arrange and support meetings and events as required
  • Diary management, resolving conflicting demands
  • Arrange business travel and accommodation as required
  • To arrange, co-ordinate and support Board and Committee meetings and events, including forward planning, event management and minute taking
  • Oversee the preparation and proof-reading of documents, reports, and presentations
  • Provide excellent customer service for Directors, senior managers of the organisation and external organisations, official visitors and members of the general public
  • Carry out research and collate background materials as required
  • Devise and maintain private and confidential filing systems
  • Work with the executive team and department heads to develop appropriate systems and processes, and provide administrative assistance to maintain these.
  • Arrange and help to facilitate and promote training sessions as required.
  • Be a contact point for queries and provide low level advice and guidance.
  • Provide support to meetings and projects as required.
  • Monitor Adderstone Livings social media presence and ensure it is up to date.
  • Ensure KPIs and data are collated and published in a timely manner and in line with the board reporting requirements.
  • Provide holiday cover for team members in customer care and others as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of A-C Grade GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • An awareness of the construction and development industry
  • Strong people, communication, administration and co-ordination skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to support the development of appropriate systems, maximise the use of technology and effectively use compliance and other software, IT applications and media as appropriate.
  • Some project management experience.
  • Experience in a business environment.
