Jonny is Adderstone Projects Assistant Project Manager; whilst also studying Construction Engineering Management at Northumbria University. Jonny is working towards his assessment of professional competence for the Chartered Institute of Building.
Jonny knew from an early age he wanted to be involved in the construction and development industry, inspired by his grandfather who is an architect, he often watches him producing drawings and sees his work come to life and the rewarding feeling he gets from seeing the finished project.
Jonny assesses opportunities from a financial and legal perspective to establish the potential of each prospective development. He helps monitor the entire development portfolio, from identifying development opportunities to working alongside architects to ensure planning permission is granted. Once granted Jonny helps project manage the developments to ensure the programme is stuck to and project challenges are overcome.
Prior to and during his time at university Jonny worked part time as a team leader in the hospitality industry within a very busy hotel. This enhanced his communication and teamwork skills, which is crucial in the industry he strives to be a part of.
Outside of work he enjoys football and is a dedicated Newcastle United fan, attending matches home and away. Jonny was a keen football player, but now has to watch from the sideline after a serious knee injury. Jonny spends lots of weekends away with his family and loves to travel. Next on the list of countries to visit is Mexico!
