Adderstone Group

Caitlin Flynn

Caitlin joined Adderstone Group in June 2019 to complete her placement year as a Trainee Project Manager within the company’s Development Division.

Caitlin is currently studying Construction Engineering Management at Northumbria University and is undergoing a placement year here at Adderstone Group where she aims to contribute to the team whilst also growing industry experience before completing her final year of university.

In her role at Adderstone Group Caitlin assesses opportunities from a viability and legal perspective, to establish the potential of each prospective development. She helps monitor the entire development portfolio, from identifying development opportunities to working alongside architects to ensure planning permission is granted. Once granted Caitlin helps project manage developments to ensure programmes are stuck to and project challenges are overcome.

Originally from Kendal in the Lake District, Caitlin is an ex semi-professional cyclist, who proudly gained her national road racing title at only 16 years old. Her passion for sports continued after her cycling retirement at 18, turning to sports photo journalism which involved covering worldwide events for British Cycling and Cycling Weekly Magazine, which she now continues as a hobby. Caitlin’s career path took a turn whilst growing up with a family of builders, inspiring her passion for engineering and project management which she is furthering in her degree studies and intends to progress into her career.

In her spare time Caitlin enjoys walks and training with her 2 year-old border collie, who is in training to complete in agility trials.
