In March 2016, Adderstone Group sent a team of delegates to MIPIM, the world’s leading real estate investment trade show.

MIPIM gathers together the most influential international property players from across all sectors including; residential, commercial, office, education, industrial, PRS, PBSA and more for four days of networking, meetings and opportunity creation.

Adderstone Group attended the internationally renowned event to showcase the company’s property developments and unique investment opportunities which are available to potential investors and joint venture partners across a number of specialist fields, notably PRS, PBSA and commercial.

Adderstone Group exhibited at the event with some of the region’s key players and decision makers from Newcastle City Council, alongside influential business leaders from many of the region’s most prominent companies including Port of Tyne, Arch, Highbridge Properties and more, promoting investment-ready commercial and development sites, iconic locations and bespoke opportunities available throughout North East England.

Held in Cannes, France, between 15-18 March, MIPIM was attended by 21,000 international participants from 89 countries representing 2000 companies.

With over 350 exhibition stands, the event is always a major chance for participants to gain expert insight into key sectors and property hotspots.

Ian Baggett, Adderstone Group CEO said: “We have attended MIPIM Cannes many times before and believe it is essential to gain a wider perspective on the property industry worldwide. The conference is inspiring and energising and it gives opportunities for end users as well as private and institutional investors the chance to explore wider markets and opportunities.

“On a recent trip to MIPIM Hong Kong, I was blown away by the depth of knowledge that Asia’s most significant outbound investment funds had on the Northern Powerhouse concept and specialist sectors in cities such as Newcastle and I continued to be impressed with this awareness which was also evident at MIPIM Cannes.

“We look forward to working with Invest Newcastle and the city council further to spread the word that North East England is indeed a great place for the international market to invest in.”
