Adderstone Group is proud to be supporting the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), a programme which encourages employers to support defence and inspire other companies and individuals to do the same.
Adderstone Group have become bronze award holders meaning that the company and its subsidiaries pledge to support the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community.
The bronze status also means that the company promotes being armed forces-friendly and is open to employing reservists, armed forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses or partners.
The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
The ERS is designed primarily to recognise private sector support and recognises the work of these businesses in supporting the aims of the wider Ministry of Defence.
Adderstone Group Operations Director, Allison Harrison said: “This scheme is absolutely something we’re proud to support. Indeed, our founder and CEO, Ian Baggett, was himself an officer in the Royal Navy so we can certainly emphasise that our support is echoed right through the business. Over the years we’ve welcomed reservists and understand the importance of supporting them in the workplace.
“We’re looking at ways we can more proactively support the work that the MoD carries out and we’d encourage more likeminded businesses to do the same.”
