The Whitehaven Close scheme consists of 17 quality two and three-bed family homes located on a former brownfield site in Whitehaven Close, Fencehouses, Houghton-le-Spring. The scheme was delivered by Adderstone Living with partner and social housing specialist, Karbon Homes.

The project involved Adderstone Living’s unique, ‘land led’ solution for the provision of social housing. This approach involved the team sourcing the land, developing designs and securing planning permissions before delivering the scheme on behalf of Karbon Homes.

The high-quality scheme, which delivers affordable homes with low running costs, is set in an incredibly accessible location, close to many local amenities, making it an instant hit with purchasers and renters.

Whitehaven Close forms the second scheme delivered by Adderstone Living, established in March 2020.

Whitehaven Close is situated in the village centre of Fencehouses in County Durham, close to the main shopping street with a selection of convenience stores on the doorstep and with a host of public transport options within easy reach.
