Sunderland Road is a 56-home affordable housing scheme delivered by Adderstone Living on a four-hectare site in Easington Village, County Durham. The development brings a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties, including six bungalows, with more than half of the homes available for social rent and the remainder offered through Rent to Buy and shared ownership.

The scheme is designed to create a strong sense of place within the village. New access from Sunderland Road combines with community green space and improvements to public rights of way, including pedestrian links connecting the development to the neighbouring residential area.

Sunderland Road reflects Adderstone Living’s land-led approach to affordable housing – sourcing the site, developing the designs and securing planning permission before delivering the scheme – and will be managed on completion by delivery partner believe housing.
