Action
To strengthen this approach, Adderstone Foundation trustee Justyna Jackholt travelled to Zambia to visit Sport in Action hubs and gain first-hand insight into the organisation’s work.
During the visit, she engaged directly with local teams and participants, learning more about Sport in Action’s Enterprise Programme- an initiative designed to equip young people with the skills, confidence and opportunities to build sustainable futures through sport and entrepreneurship.
The visit provided an opportunity to better understand the challenges and opportunities within the programme, while identifying areas for deeper collaboration and future support.
Impact
The visit played an important role in strengthening the partnership between Adderstone Foundation and Sport in Action, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting young people at grassroots level.
By gaining on-the-ground insight, the Foundation is better positioned to support and scale initiatives that combine sport with enterprise, helping young people develop both practical skills and long-term opportunities.
This collaborative approach ensures that future investment is informed, effective and aligned with real community needs- maximising impact and supporting programmes that empower young people to build more independent and sustainable futures.
