- Roads & Plotworks
Construction of adoptable roads, plotworks and associated external works across the development, forming the foundation for around new homes. - Drainage & Utilities
Installation of foul and surface water drainage alongside SUDS, drainage connections, utilities infrastructure- all engineered to support the development from the ground up. - Sustainable Earthworks Strategy
Rather than removing excavated material from site, Adderstone Civils reprocessed approximately 22,000 cubic metres of excavated stone into a graded Type 1 sub-base specification, reusing it throughout the development. The approach has reprocessed and reused approximately 48,000 tonnes of construction material on site, eliminated the need to import virgin quarried aggregate, prevented an estimated 2,000 HGV movements, reduced embodied carbon by approximately 480 tonnes of CO₂e, and achieved zero excavation waste sent to landfill. - Local Employment & Supply Chain
The contract has created 12 new permanent jobs, including six apprenticeships, with 100% of the project’s supply chain expenditure sourced within a 25-mile radius of the site.
The project reflects Adderstone Civils’ approach to modern civil engineering: retaining and reusing site-won material, minimising environmental impact, and investing directly in the local economy through jobs, apprenticeships and regional supply chains.
The contract continues Adderstone Civils’ expansion across the residential infrastructure sector, building on a growing portfolio of roads, sewers, drainage, earthworks and external works projects delivered throughout the North of England.
