Magna Rise is a 68-home affordable housing scheme delivered by Adderstone Living on Birkby Lane, East Cowton, near Hambleton in North Yorkshire. The development brings a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, including bungalows, available for affordable rent, shared ownership and Rent to Buy.

Built using timber frame construction, the homes are designed to the highest sustainability standards, with solar PV panels and air source heat pumps helping them achieve an ‘A’ rated EPC. Forty per cent of the site has been kept as open space to preserve the village’s rural character.

Magna Rise is bringing much-needed new housing to a village that has seen limited investment and a declining population in recent years, delivered in partnership with Karbon Homes, which will manage the homes on completion.
