Adderstone Nova is currently delivering the rooftop transformation of Byron House, on the east side of St James’ Street. Acquired by Unity Land in 2023, Byron House enjoys a prestigious address in London’s West End, and provides premium office, restaurant and retail space to six tenants, including Christian Louboutin, Centricus Asset Management and Peninsula Energy.
The scheme involves the removal of the obsolete caretaker’s accommodation on the seventh floor roof, enabling the creation of a new extension that will introduce a high-quality amenity and event space. A bespoke bar and kitchen facilities sit at the heart of the design, built to support both day-to-day occupier use and premium brand events.
The new extension opens onto a wraparound roof terrace with uninterrupted views across the London skyline, significantly enhancing the building’s offer and creating a destination space within the existing commercial footprint.
This project demonstrates Adderstone Nova’s strength in delivering technically complex fit out works in high-valueenvironments. Working at rooftop level in a prime West End location requires rigorous coordination across structure, services, logistics and programme, alongside the level of finish expected of a best-in-class commercial asset.
Our role has been to translate the design intent into a well-executed reality, balancing technical delivery with the craftsmanship required for a premium hospitality-led space. From demolition and enabling works through to the integration of specialist bar, kitchen and terrace elements, the project reflects the depth of expertise across our team.
Once complete, the new rooftop will provide Byron House with a distinctive amenity space that strengthens occupier experience, supports events and hospitality, and adds long-term value to the asset.
As work progresses, the project stands as a strong example of Adderstone Nova’s ability to deliver ambitious fit-outs within complex live commercial buildings, with quality, control and precision at every stage.
