In an emergency, minutes decide outcomes. Across the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire and the Humber, that often means the difference between a patient reaching hospital in time or not. Great North Air Ambulance Service exists to close that gap, bringing critical care by air to people who would otherwise be too far from specialist treatment.
Action
In 2020, the Adderstone Foundation made a donation to Great North Air Ambulance Service, in memory of Ella Henderson.
Impact
GNAAS operates a fleet of helicopters and rapid response vehicles across a region spanning more than 8,000 square miles, reaching patients in some of the North’s most remote and hard-to-access areas. Support like this helps keep that fleet ready to respond wherever and whenever it’s needed.
