The Rivergreen Centre is an environmentally sensitive, low impact office building that provides flexible, high specification, modern office space. It is the home of challenger bank, Atom Bank.
We’re proud to have The Rivergreen Centre in our portfolio. This environmentally sensitive, low impact office building provides flexible, high specification, modern office space.
It has been hailed for its design and impact and is a former winner of the RICS UK ‘Sustainable Building of the Year’. It has also won a RIBA Design Award.
Originally operating as a serviced office and conference centre, the centre is now home to challenger bank, Atom Bank. Atom Bank is the UK’s first entirely app-based bank. The business has grown to a staff of over 350 people, all located within their Rivergreen Centre HQ.
The Rivergreen Centre building uses biofuel and innovative design to keep its environmental impact to a minimum and offers a high-speed data network with excellent digital connectivity.
The building’s unique design – from its rainwater-catching sedum roof to its cruciform shape to maximise daylight and natural ventilation – minimises environmental impact while providing high-quality, multi-functional office spaces, and a dramatic outline.
It is a true example that a building can be a pleasurable place to work, fully up to speed with modern office equipment and still tread softly on the landscape. Indeed, it is widely considered to be one of the best examples of a large-scale green office building in the UK.
