The FoodHouse scales up into new home at Baker’s Yard

Family-run takeaway ordering business, The FoodHouse, has moved into a new premises at Baker’s Yard, to facilitate their growth and expansion. The FoodHouse links customers to local restaurants and takeaways without the high rates and commissions associated with national delivery platforms.

We host an eclectic mix of businesses at Baker’s Yard, from creative agencies to alarm manufacturers, and a food company is a perfect fit for the business park that gets its name from its former uses as the original Greggs Bakery in Gosforth.

In conversation about their move, Cris Byrne of The FoodHouse said:

“This is a fantastic move for our business to help our development and growth. The move has facilitated private meetings with staff, clients and customers. Along with the upper mezzanine technical area where we can store, and test equipment before installation at our client’s premises.

“This allows our day-to-day work area to be left clean and tidy so that the staff enjoy their work environment.  It also allows ‘Hugo’ our office dog more space to do his zoomies and show off!”

Charlie Harkness, Commercial Estates Surveyor at Adderstone Group, who manages Baker’s Yard, said:

“It’s great to see local businesses doing well, especially in times such as these. We’re grateful to have businesses like The FoodHouse making up the community of tenants at Baker’s Yard. The business park is going from strength to strength, and we’re soon to add a café to the site for the businesses and local residents to enjoy.”
