Pipewell Quay was highly commended at the British Council for Offices 2022 annual awards dinner in the corporate workplace category. The much-anticipated event was held in April at the Kimpton Hotel in Manchester, where property specialists joined in celebrating the best in commercial space the North has to offer.
Pipewell Quay, our landmark, 30,000 sq ft development of a former nightclub into grade A office space, is now home and HQ to North East Company of the Year 2021, Aspire Technology Solutions, who set up their new headquarters at the development for over 300 employees.
Pipewell Quay also won the ‘Fit-out/Refurbishment of the Year’ award at the Insider Media North East Property Awards 2022.
The judges commented on the challenges the team faced throughout Covid throughout the project. The recognition of the development is a testament to the expert work of our partners on the project, Ryder Architecture, JC Consulting, the many local suppliers, sub-contractors, and our skilled in-house team along the way.
From the infamous Baja Beach Club nightclub that had stood empty since its closure in 2008 to an exemplary first-class workplace, the regeneration of the newly-named Pipewell Quay not only celebrates its world-class setting but has reinstated itself as a Quayside landmark for years to come.
