We’re pleased to close the awards season by bringing home the ‘Commercial Renovation/Redevelopment’ at the UK’s International Property Awards ceremony. The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property & real estate industry.
The award comes as Pipewell Quay’s fifth recognition at regional and national industry awards. We’re proud to share the unique story behind the building, and celebrate the project team that created Aspire Technology Solutions’ spectacular new home.
The UK Property Awards ceremony was held Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, and the winners will be entered into the International Property Awards.
Background
Baja Beach Club, the once infamous nightclub on Gateshead’s quayside, had stood empty since its closure in 2008. Becoming more and more of an eyesore and blot on the otherwise vibrant Newcastle Gateshead Quayside, Adderstone Group stepped in to realise its potential and put it back on the map. By opening up the dark, enclosed space, the building suddenly revealed stunning views over the River Tyne and Newcastle Quayside, with the Grade I listed High Level Bridge sailing overhead.
Pipewell Quay now provides 3 floors of first-class, flexible office space for over 300 employees, as well as a series of breakout and social spaces and roof terraces over an area of 30,000 sq ft.
