A vibrant new mural is set to brighten Norfolk Street this summer, thanks to a partnership between Adderstone Foundation and Karbon Homes. The project is part of the Elevation
public art initiative, which marks the 800th anniversary of North Shields by transforming public spaces through large-scale mural artworks.
The project is supported in part by Adderstone Foundation, the charitable arm of Adderstone Group, which backs grassroots initiatives that deliver meaningful impact
across the North East, the UK and further afield.
Karbon’s portion of the donation has come from its Unlocking Social Value programme, which matches the social value commitments of its contractors and suppliers with
community projects and initiatives across the region.
The new mural will appear on the prominent Wooden Deli coffee shop, just steps away from Karbon Homes’ affordable housing development Laurel Cove, which is being
delivered by Adderstone Living and helping to revitalise the heart of the town.
