Adderstone Living will specialise in unique, ‘land led’ solutions; a process that involves sourcing land, developing designs and securing planning permissions before delivering schemes on behalf of local authority or housing association partners.
The team at Adderstone Living team has already embarked on its first development at Millbank Lane, Thornaby, Stockton on Tees (pictured below) in partnership with North Star Housing Group. The project comprises the completion of 10 two-bedroom, affordable homes that will be available for rent by Autumn this year.

Adderstone Living Director, Stephen McCoy, who has over 25 years’ experience at directorship level for blue chip house builders said: “Our method of delivering social housing involves innovation and positive disruption. Our land led approach is unique and allows us to deliver social housing where it is most needed, typically relying on existing infrastructure and services.”
Fellow Director, Peter Galbraith who has amassed over 30 years’ experience across all construction sectors said: “Ensuring the delivery of quality social housing is at the top of the UK’s housing agenda. More than 2,500 people currently live in homes developed by Adderstone Group. With social purpose as our motivation, we are confident we can add to Adderstone Group’s achievements to date.”
Stephen will manage the commercial requirements of all projects, being responsible for land purchase, contracts, planning and budgetary control, whilst Peter will head up operations, delivering homes of the highest quality and managing relationships with stakeholders.
Adderstone Group CEO / Founder, Ian Baggett said: “The lock-down has reportedly resulted in 60,000 less homes being built nationwide. I am confident that in Stephen and Peter we have found the right partnership to do our little bit to build some more homes and help get the region’s economy going again.”
