Adderstone developments scoop up three awards at The Institution of Structural Engineers The Northern Counties Structural Awards 2021!
Our recently completed development, Pipewell Quay, won the ‘Most Sustainable’ category. Judges highlighted the rebirth and repurposing of the abandoned building, the construction employing local trades, and reusing the existing foundations and steel frame resulting in the building exceeding the RIBA carbon targets.
Tyne Bridge House, located on Bottlebank, was awarded the ‘Medium Project’ trophy, receiving judges’ comments on the creative repurposing and the large internal span created by the efficient steel truss arrangement. Tyne Bridge House also won the ‘Most Social Value’ category, with the most combined social value for the region. Recognition was also given for the developer’s strong local emphasis on inward investment.
Branching into our London portfolio, we also received a Special Commendation for Meadowcroft Mews, our eco house project in Cambridge.
Special thanks to JC Consulting for bringing home the awards from the event held at the BALTIC in Newcastle.
