Burds opens in the redeveloped Gatehouse in Jesmond

Coffee and brunch spot, Burds, opens its doors in the redeveloped Gatehouse

Burds, owned by Sarah Todd, have opened at Adderstone’s Group’s newly redeveloped Gatehouse at The Fleming in Jesmond. Burds gained inspiration for its name from The Fleming’s location on Burdon Terrace.

The Grade II listed building has undergone a sensitive refurbishment and extension including restoration of the original brick walls, stone steps and exposed timber trusses, making space for indoor and outdoor seating on the patio terrace.
