At Adderstone Foundation, our purpose isn’t tied to fixed initiatives. Instead, we champion entrepreneurial philanthropy, supporting ideas that grow from the passions of the Adderstone community and those connected to it.

The Recruitment Junction Launch Event
Award-winning charity, The Recruitment Junction, has officially opened a new office in Durham, with a launch event was supported by Ian Baggett of Adderstone Foundation and Professor Simon Forest who is Principal of Ian’s old College, The College of St Hild and St Bede at Durham University.

Donation Drums for Zambia
Through our partnership with Sport in Action, we launched a North East-wide donation drive- placing collection drums at universities including Northumbria, Newcastle and Durham. Students and staff donated hundreds of items of sports kit, from trainers to teamwear, giving pre-loved equipment a powerful second life.

Fountain of Hope Orphanage Renovation
In April 2024, Adderstone Foundation delivered a full renovation of the toilet and shower facilities at the Fountain of Hope Street Orphanage in Lusaka, Zambia.

Whitley Bay & Tynemouth Hockey Club Support
In September 2024, Adderstone Foundation provided support worth over £10,000 to Whitley Bay & Tynemouth Hockey Club, located close to Adderstone Living’s Laurel Cove development in North Shields.

Adderstone Foundation trustee Justyna Jackholt travelled to Zambia to visit Sport in Action hubs and gain first-hand insight into the organisation’s work.

In 2023, Adderstone Foundation hosted a private fundraising dinner in support of Homes for Ukraine, bringing together individuals committed to making a direct difference.

In 2023, Adderstone Foundation Founder Ian Baggett was appointed Honorary Chair Ambassador for Zambia Tennis, supporting the organisation’s strategic development and international positioning.

Hosting a Ukrainian Family
In 2022, the Adderstone Foundation supported a Ukrainian family displaced by war when Ian Baggett and his family opened their home to them.

HMP Northumberland Employment Advisory Board
In 2022, Adderstone Group founder Ian Baggett was appointed the inaugural Chair of the Employment Advisory Board (EAB) for HMP Northumberland, part of a national initiative designed to strengthen connections between prisons and employers.

All donations go directly to the Adderstone Foundation. Where a donation is made to a specific cause, 100% is ringfenced for that purpose – with overheads and administration costs met by Adderstone Group.
