FIGAS Hangar Refurbishment

Adderstone Construction (Falkland Islands) Ltd is delivering the refurbishment and extension of the FIGAS aircraft hangar in Port Stanley.
FIGAS connects communities across the Falkland Islands and plays an important role in everyday island life, supporting passenger travel, freight, farming and emergency services.
The works include new external cladding, windows and doors, a new aircraft hangar door, upgraded mechanical and electrical systems, and improved welfare and storage facilities. New fuel lines and supply tanks are also being installed to support operations.
Structural steel sourced from Sunderland is being used as part of the project, continuing a long-standing connection between the North East of England and the Falkland Islands.
