Jesmond Exchange is a residential project which was completed by Adderstone Group in September 2017. This is a further conversion of the former Telephone Exchange building located in Manor Court, Jesmond, a popular suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne and close to the city centre and Newcastle’s two universities.
Formerly an office block, the art deco building dates from 1949 has now had its first and second floors converted into high-end apartments totalling 55 beds.
The new apartments comprise 17 one bed mezzanine apartments and 19 two bed apartments, with open plan, double-height living area and kitchen. The majority of the apartments have a mezzanine layout, with two apartments being laid out in the traditional single-level style.
These apartments have been completed to an excellent standard including high finishes such as cashmere gloss kitchens and bespoke fitted furniture, incorporating the industrial history of the building.
In addition to the new scheme, there are three existing penthouse apartments on the roof of the building, all currently fully let. A four bed, five bed and six bed configuration, totalling 15 beds.
