Development of the former Baja Beach Club

Adderstone Group purchased the site of the iconic Baja Beach Club on the banks of the River Tyne in January 2019 with plans to imminently redevelop the site as an iconic commercial / office space.

The former Baja Beach Club is an impressive space located at the end of the Swing Bridge on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne.

The site was purchased by Adderstone Group in January 2019 with plans to work with Gateshead Council and an end user to deliver standout office or commercial space in this historic location on Gateshead Quays.

The 17,500 sq. ft site is in the process of being developed with plans to carry out a full refurbishment, with designs to include a striking full glass frontage with spectacular views across the River Tyne towards Newcastle Keep, the Swing Bridge and Tyne Bridge.

The space could be occupied by a single end user or separated into individual units as required by end users.

The acquisition caused a particular stir in the North East with many locals reminiscing over their time spent at Baja, one of the most iconic nightclubs in Newcastle in the early 2000s.
