Adderstone’s Newcastle office is searching for its next placement student.

Adderstone is a private property development and investment business headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne. Over the past 25 years, the team has been committed to creating, delivering, and managing exceptional places that improve and regenerate areas across the country.

Role Overview

Terms:

12-month placement, starting August 2025
Full-time employment, based at Adderstone’s Head Office (The Fleming, Burdon Terrace, Jesmond NE2 3AE)

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management

  • Support the estates team to manage Adderstone’s commercial properties   across the north east
    Travel between Adderstone’s properties to assist with property management inspections
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance in line with service charges and assist with the management of larger, one-off projects
  • Assist with lease advisory work, including lease renewals, rent reviews and break clauses
  • Help manage business rates on vacant properties, including Appeals
  • Liaise with architects to review and create floorplans and designs for potential projects
  • Gain first-hand experience in the lease preparation process with the in-house legal team, from Heads of Terms to contract completion
  • Assist in conducting property viewings, negotiating lease terms, and finalising agreements with prospective tenants, including drafting Heads of Terms for new lettings
  • Support the strategic management of vacant properties, including marketing and advertising
  • Obtain competitive quotes from contractors, raise digital purchase orders, and review invoices for accuracy
  • Investigate value-add initiatives to enhance asset performance.
