The management of blocks of apartments, which includes the professional management of a building's common parts and its structure, requires experience and detailed knowledge of all requisite legislation and administration procedures. Effective management is also critical to the preservation of the value of a property portfolio.

Once again, Adderstone had difficulty securing a reliable, capable and proactive block management agent when developing its own portfolio and consequently home-growing this capability was a practical and effective solution.

This diversification has seen the Adderstone Block Management Division achieve a proven track record in a highly specialised, technical area, providing efficient and cost effective day-to-day management, setting realistic service charges and keeping them to a minimum, whilst protecting and where possible adding to a property's value.

Today Adderstone not only manage their own freeholds but also freeholds owned by third parties and by investor clients – and also by management companies who have instructed them to manage their property under the direction of a residents' committee. In monetary terms, the Block Management Division manages more than £100m of assets, with total annual service charges of over £1m.
